The SMKT8E-345 is powered by 2 x CR123A batteries, with a 10 year projected battery life, which eliminate the need to run power to the device. The alarm has a built?in wireless transmitter, which communicates with the 2GIG GC2e/GC3e control panel. When smoke, excessive heat or cold is detected, the alarm sounds a loud local alarm and the built?in transmitter sends a signal to the 2GIG encrypted control panel. This alarm detector is designed to provide protection within a 350' foot open range radius from the control panel.
